About River & Range
Born in Idaho. Built for the outdoors.
River & Range was founded by Koty and Christian- two longtime friends, fourth generation Idahoans whose roots run deep in the state they call home. Growing up in Boise, attending Capital High School, and excelling on the football field, we built a friendship around competition, hard work, and a shared love for the Idaho way of life.
From hunting and fishing to camping and riding anything with two or four wheels, the outdoors has always been part of who we are. It’s more than a hobby. It’s a tradition passed down through generations, shaping our connection to the land and the lifestyle that inspires River & Range.
Today, we’re not just longtime friends and business partners. We’re both fathers to girls, building something we’re proud of and creating a brand that reflects the values, traditions, and lifestyle we hope to pass on to the next generation.
For Christian, that Idaho lifestyle means spending time with family at his cabin in Donnelly, hunting and fishing- boating on Cascade Lake, and riding his dirt bike along West Mountain Road.
Our passion for hats runs just as deep. We’ve always been the kind of guys who are obsessed with hats, paying attention to the fit, the details, and the style the same way sneaker enthusiasts obsess over their next pair. We saw an opportunity to bring something different to the market by creating premium hats and outdoor wear that reflect our lifestyle and, more importantly, gear we genuinely want to wear ourselves.
Inspired by Idaho’s rivers, mountains, open country, and Western roots, River & Range is built around three things: quality, authenticity, and pride in where we come from. We believe in doing things right, keeping designs timeless, and creating products that feel just as natural in the mountains or on the water as they do around town.
Being fourth generation Idahoans means more to us than just a place of origin. It’s a connection to the land, a respect for tradition, and a commitment to the community that helped shape us. That’s why we’re proud to support Camp Rainbow Gold, an Idaho nonprofit that brings hope and joy to children and families affected by childhood cancer.
We’re building River & Range from the ground up, one hat at a time, staying true to our roots and the lifestyle that inspired it all. We’re proud of where we come from, proud of the families we’re building, and excited to share a little piece of Idaho with everyone who wears our gear.
